Tamsulosin (Adenorm) in treatment of patients with distal ureteral calculus
The study explored the possibility of lithokinetic therapy optimization in calculus localized in the lower third of the ureter with alfa1-adrenergic blocking agent tamsulosin (Adenorm). The study involving 98 patients to assess the therapeutic efficacy of Adenorm in treatment of patients with calculus localized in the distal ureter showed its high efficiency. Frequency of self-discharge of ureteral calculus on the Adenorm intake was 77% on average on the 9–10th day, in patients receiving traditional therapy — 26% on 11–16th day. Adenorm administration in this category of patients is pathogenetically grounded and reasonable.
